A Treasure in the Sea of Learning

Enfield Montessori School: A Treasure in the Sea of Learning was the title given to
the Junior II scarecrow project. The children chose to make a mermaid, a task that
seemed daunting at the outset, but with the support of so many, the results were impressive.
Many thanks to all of you who provided us with supplies, ideas, and most importantly
your time, patience, and generous spirits. The children laughed, worked together, and
created memories as they sorted shells, glittered, stuffed, made jewelry, decorated and
more. Most importantly, they learned from our volunteers how to work together sharing
ideas, resources, and laughter.
'Fire Prevention Everyone / Everyday'

Grace Artioli, a fourth grader at the Enfield Montessori School, is pictured here
with her winning entry into the 'Fire Prevention Everyone/Everyday' townwide poster competition. Grace's entry won her not only first place among her classmates but also the distinction of being the town entry to the state competition.
Our thanks to Fireman Tom Barry and his crew for all their hard work in judging the town entries. We wish Grace good luck in the state competition.
