Jack O'Lantern Festival
A Jack O’Lantern festival is held annually in October held on at the Enfield town green.
Our students participate in this town event by bringing in a Jack O’Lantern for entrance to this town-sponsored event. All pumpkins must have a regulation candle that can be purchased on the town green. There is trick or treating, hayrides, games and many more events to enjoy
on that day.

Golf Tournament
The golf tournament takes place in September and is one of our annual fundraisers for the school. The event consists of teams of four golfers with a shotgun start (everyone begins at the same time at different holes). If you are not a golfer, you can still enjoy the dinner that follows the tournament.

Family Picnic
In late September our new and returning families share a picnic meal on the school grounds. The children enjoy planned games and activities and parents have the opportunity to socialize. This is a casual, fun-filled event that parents and children alike look forward to each year.

Thanksgiving Feast
On the Monday before the Thanksgiving break, the children make applesauce and apple pies for their special snack on Tuesday. Parents bring in different foods that have a Thanksgiving theme and prepare the snack for all the classes. The children enjoy their feast in a Thanksgiving style.

Children’s Shopping Spree
The children’s Christmas shopping spree takes place during the second week in December. Each family is required to donate 15 – 20 items to the event. Each child has the opportunity to go shopping for their family members. The children make a list of relatives they wish to
buy gifts for. Items are moderately priced to fit their budget. The older children help the younger children with their shopping. They also wrap their gifts in order for them to be a surprise. They really enjoy this special day.

Christmas Show
The annual Christmas show takes place before the Christmas break. This is a great day to enjoy our children perform on the stage. The performance takes place at the Felician Sisters Provincial House across the street from the school. The Primary and Junior 1 classes
are dismissed after the play while the children from Junior 2 and 3 go to sing Christmas carols to the sisters in the Infirmary. Bars of wrapped soap are given to the sisters as a small Christmas gift.

Catholic Schools Week
Catholic Schools Week is held during the last week in January leading into the first week of February. Special daily events are planned for the week. The events may include a prayer service, people from the community reading to the children, game day, ice cream social, book swap, and much more.

Annual Auction
The EMS auction usually takes place in March. This event is one of the largest fundraising events for our school. All parents need to become involved with this fundraiser by purchasing tickets and donating items. The night includes a silent and live auction, special baskets and raffles, and a delicious home cooked meal served buffet style. The auction is a great night out and has something for everyone.

Grandparents/Parents Day
This day starts with going into your child’s classroom and learning about the jobs they have been doing throughout the year. A book fair is also held in the library. Everyone enjoys a picnic lunch outside on the grounds. The day concludes with the students in Junior 2 and 3 performing a recorder concert.

Teacher’s Appreciation Day
This event is held to thank our teachers, teacher assistants, and staff for all their hard work and dedication to our children. Volunteer parents prepare a delicious luncheon while other volunteer parents supervise the children at recess so that the staff can enjoy this special luncheon.

Field Day
On the Friday that is the last day for the younger children, the children in Junior 3 prepare field day for the whole school. Everyone enjoys the creative games and activities that the older children prepare.

Farewell Luncheon
The Farewell Luncheon is held in June to celebrate the sixth graders completion of our Montessori program. The parents of the fifth graders make the food for this special luncheon and the fifth grade students serve the food. The sixth graders are able to invite two members from their family to celebrate with them. It is truly a memorable event for everyone.
